2009 New Orleans International Piano Competition
for Young Artists
12 Semifinalists Announced
12 contestants have been selected to participate in the 1st New Orleans International Piano Competition for Young Artists this July 19–26. The contestants, all aged between 14 and 18 years of age, and the country of their citizenship are:

Each pianist will perform a 25-minute program in Semifinal Round I beginning Monday evening, July 20. All 12 will advance to Semifinal Round II, beginning Thursday evening, where they will each be heard in a 15-minute program. On Friday evening, 5 finalists will be announced who will be heard in another 25-minute performance during the Final Round on Sunday afternoon.
